Well, they're both looking anyway...

They ARE at least both looking. I still haven't gotten my both looking/smiling picture, but we'll see. I'm still trying.

Both kiddies are doing SO MUCH better! *praises to the Lord for that!!!*

I have a tale from Friday. En-route from one school to the next (as I was working) our babysitter tried to call me. When I reached the alternative school where I work I was approached with the message that a young girl had tried to call me but didn't leave a name or number.
I immediately thought of the babysitter. I called and thus the drama began...

I'll give you the abbreviated version: Macie was laying on the floor, the babysitters 3 year old neice was sitting beside her. Tori, the babysitter, left the room to get Macie's bottle. At some point from the time she left to get the bottle, her neice started playing with Macie and to make a long story short, she scratched Macie's eye.

Tori called me at work and told me about it. Of course accidents happen so I tried not to be upset while I listened. However, I did tell Ryan later that a better choice of words may be in order to let a poor parent down easy. Here's the end of a few minute description of what happened, "I think she pryed Macie's eye open and scratched her eyeball with her fingernail." Uh...at that point my heart dropped.

After the initial shock wore off, I realized it wasn't as bad as it sounded. I went home and got her and took her in to the doctor to have it checked to be on the safe side. It ended up being a superficial scratch. Thank the Lord. They gave us eye drops for her for three days to prevent infections and all was well.

One thing you learn as a parent. Accidents happen...you just hope that when your child causes the accident that the other parent will be as understanding as you need to be in the current situation. *smile*

I was tagged by Charlotte's Mommy to tell 10 things about my kiddos, so here goes:

  1. Ty has a virus and is puking every so often... fun fun.
Macie is growing like a weed everyday.
  2. Macie started saying "da-da" on Friday in the doctors office right after her "eye trauma." Ty thinks it's just hilarious to say the word "Poo-poo"
  3. Ty picked out his new Thomas the Train "choo-choo" slippers as he calls them all by himself at Walmart. Macie is starting to try to pull up into a sitting position lately, what a big girl!
  4. Ty's favorite Veggie-Tales is 'The Wizard of Ha's' because of the little pig they call 'Tu-tu.' Macie gets more attention when we go out in public than any child I have ever seen in all my life.
  5. Buying Ty the ridiculously expensive farm toys (horses, cows, pigs, sheep) was one of the best decisions we ever made. Macie sucks on her big toe like it's a third thumb.
  6. Ty's favorite drink is sweet tea. Macie's favorite toy is her feet.
  7. Ty can sing "Jesus Loves Me" and actually carry the tune. *pretty good for a 1.5 year old. Macie can raise those little eyebrows and give her wide open-mouth grin and win anybodys heart...especially mine.
  8. Both of my kids are AWESOME sleepers. They go to bed around 9 or before and will sleep anywhere from 8 to 10:30 if you let them.
  9. Ty likes to play rough...the rougher the better. Macie does NOT.
  10. Ty and Macie both love to get lovin's and we sure love passing them out!

Now...I tag Amber and Erica.

Pray for Ty...he has some sort of puking virus. ICK!

Until later...that's all our tales for now.

I didn't come to Mama's today because of the weather. Give Ty and Macie some lovin' from Aunt Sana.

Maybe at the end of the month I can bring them both home with me for a couple of nights!!! If it works for you and Ryan.
Love Sandra
