Bump!

What a funny little feeling that special "bump" is too. This morning I was laying on my back cozy under the covers when the baby bumped so hard you could see the sheets move. lol! So I layed there with my hand on my belly just enjoying our second baby bouncing around.
PART II -
Okay, just as promised. Believe me though, it's not quite as hilarious as Part I. Ryan retrieved the highchair off the deck right before we left for services that evening, but I was determined not to worry about cleaning it up until the next morning.
___
I just laughed and laughed when I sat the chair on the counter and pulled the seat cover off to discover that underneath the little seat cushion was a pool of tea still floating around precariously. I had to completely wash the seat cushion then hang it out on the deck to dry and then tackle washing the tea ridden seat. EVERYTHING was sticky and pretty much just a mess.
___
Still, I found it humorous. After I finished the highchair (it took ALL day for his seat cover to dry) I grabbed his tea soaked clothes from his bedroom. They practically weighed 5lbs....from TEA! Ty crawled around happily following me through the house while I cleaned up after the tea mess.
___
Terry, I just hate to have to admit it, but Ryan didn't say 'your', 'my', OR 'our' son, he simply held the poor dripping baby my way and said "Clean him up." haha...I guess I can be thankful that he didn't say "Go clean your son up." lol...
___
That pretty much sums up the tea story. Ryan got home from work that next day and brought Ty's seat cover in with him and we chuckled together about the whole ordeal.
___
It was my sisters birthday yesterday, and I didn't post, so I'll have to give a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jennifer! I did send her and email and a card in the mail ON TIME. =)

Tea...

So, 2 evenings ago, we thought we were going to sit down and have a nice "quiet" dinner as a family. *snickers*
___
To preface this little tale , earlier Ryan and I (since the bed frame, dressers, and armoir had been removed from the kitchen) vacuumed AND mopped the entire kitchen floor. And as many of you know, when men do something industrious around the house, it is much more important than if we did it while they were gone to work. So, the clean floor was a REALLY big deal at our house since he had taken part in cleaning it. *more snickers*
___
Our church has had revival all week long, so I felt so accomplished for the cleaning job AND having supper ready for the family well before we had to rush off to church. Ryan was being the wonderful husband by helping me set the table up. He had already put Ty in his "Space Saver" highchair (which straps to a kitchen chair to save room. Kind of like a booster seat)
___
I was still over by the counter doing the finishing touches while Ryan was setting the table. NOTE: Ryan went ahead and set the tea (gallon jug mind you) on the table as well as some other things. I turned, noticed this, and headed over to move a few things out of Ty's reach...never can you be too careful. Ryan reached the table before me though, and pushed the tea jug back a bit, so I didn't want to redo what he had just done, so I didn't move it any more and simply scooted the other things out of the way before proceeding back to my finishing touches at the counter.
Of course as mommies always do, I was keeping a watchful eye on our little bumpkin already seated at the table.
___
Since our table is on the other end of the kitchen I was only able to spin around, throw my hand over my mouth, and gasp while watching the "Tempest in the Tea" show at the table. Ryan, in the meantime, hears me and sprints toward the table, but alas isn't fast enough. (Of course you knew the whole time that he wasn't going to be right?!)
___
So, I watch in horror, shock, and *snicker* slight amusement (Ryan is leaping towards the table) as our sweet little angel's chubby hands take hold of the half-full gallon jug of ice-cold sweet-tea and pull it lid and spout first into his lap. Ryan reached the table at that moment managing to save about a fourth of the jug while the other fourth gushed into Ty's lap, highchair, and ALL over our *cough* clean floor.
___
Poor Ryan, he's the tea drinker and was devastated by the fact that he then only had about a glass of tea left in the jug to drink with his supper. THEN, to make matters worse, he realizes that it's ALL over the previously-clean floor that HE had helped clean.
___
I was still standing over by the sink with my hand over my gaping mouth when I felt the snickers coming on. I mean honestly, did he really think I wasn't going to find the slightest bit of humor in this?
___
Well, one little snicker kind of came out in a snort which caused a chain reaction and I burst out laughing. Ryan turned around very furiously and sent me a death look and demanded that I retrieve our dripping son and "clean him up!" So, I did. I rushed through the house holding Ty out in front of me at arms length like he was some kind of stinky substance because of the way he was "leaking" tea all over the place. Once I had stripped his tea-soaked socks and shorts off, I came to the funny part. The behind of his diaper was COMPLETELY saturated with tea. I had NO idea Luvs diapers could hold so much. When I removed his shorts, the diaper SAGGED to the point of almost falling of his bum. Ty was now upset by the whole ordeal and aggravated that we were making such a fuss over spilled tea, but I was in hysterics and laughing uncontrollably.
___
Ty and I made it back to the kitchen, (after I recovered my composure) and sat down quietly at the table where Ryan had seated himself AND the food. I glanced around for the highchair only to see it placed out on the back deck. So, Ty sat on the floor beside me while I reached his food down to him. =)
___
Ryan wasn't speaking at this point still and would occasionally send me death looks when I would have a relapse and snicker. I finally told him he was going to have to lighten up and that I was SURE he had done something like this when HE was little and that ONE DAY he would finally laugh about it all. By the time our quiet supper meal was over, he had a few chuckles too. He didn't really enjoy the humor of it all until I retold the whole tale to a group of people at the revival that night. lol...
___
Thus ends, for the most part, that tale from your stay-at-home-mom! I'll have to post the Part II story about cleaning up the highchair later! Ta-ta!

Our BEDROOM!

FINALLY! The long awaited room and pictures! Isn't it just awesome?! It's a dream room for us! We both LOVE it! Ryan and I hung pictures and stuff on the wall on Saturday, which was great! (he had a really good birthday by the way!!!)

You'll have to overlook the lack of real curtains and no fancy bedding yet. haha...All in good time! I'll try to post more later, I just want to get these on here really quick!

Standing up!

Here he is standing up before he went to sleep.
This is how you fall asleep AFTER you've been standing up and don't know what else to do.
This is another time when he fell asleep sitting up. He just kind of keeled over frontwards. Don't worry, I leaned him back after I snapped the picture! haha

  • Well, it has become one of Ty's favorite things to do after he wakes up. He stands up in his bed and hollers till we come and "rescue" him! lol...It had become his favorite thing to do before he fell asleep too, we had nip that problem in the bud though. This is BEFORE we actually "nipped" the problem! haha
  • I have a Dr.s appointment today. It will probably be pretty pointless OTHER than that I'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat. And that's NEVER pointless.
  • Ryan and I may go out tonight for our ice-cream since his aunt is wanting to cook supper for his birthday tomorrow night. Sounds fine with me!!!
  • OH!!! I knew there was something I was wanting to put in this post and I couldn't think...I have successfully made my first batch of Amish Friendship Bread. I made it into apple/nut bread. It is SOOOOOO good. While I was mixing up the bread I realized I don't actually HAVE any bread pans to cook in! haha...OOPS! So I used a bunt pan (or however it's spelled). I had to cook it longer but it turned out just wonderful! Ryan took a huge chunk of it to work with him. And after close inspection of his breakfast plate, I discovered that's what he ate for breakfast too! haha...Apparently he likes it! I SHOULD have taken a picture of it before he cut the big hunk out of it! It was very pretty! haha...
More later!

Hello again!

I can't BELIEVE I forgot to add this exciting info on my last post!!! My sister, Jennifer, is ALSO expecting a new little one. She is due October 1, a little over a month after me. This will be her FOURTH!!! I'm hoping for another little girl since she has two boys and only one girl. We'll see in a couple of months! I never dreamed that my sister and I would EVER be pregnant at the same time! I don't think that she did either! haha

The pictures are of Ty in his bath! I think they're pretty cute! Pray for him, you can see the eczema in the creases of his arms. Sometimes it looks better, other times it looks worse. Anyway, he absolutely LOVES his bath and ANY kind of water you get him in or around, he wants to play in it! I'm glad he likes the water!

My mom will be happy when she finds out that I caught Ty crawling yesterday with the video camera. She's been after me about not videoing enough, I have to agree with her that I had been slacking. So, yesterday I pulled the camera out and got him crawling to Ryan! It's cute!

Well, it's Ryan's birthday this Saturday, St. Patrick's Day! He'll be 26. I think we're going to go out for ice-cream at a neat little place downtown. It kind of looks like an old-timey soda place.

We are OFFICIALLY moved into our bedroom! We haven't moved our stuff into the closet because we still haven't bought any lighting for the room OR closet. I had two lamps that I used in my bedroom at mom and dad's that we're using to light the room! It looks AWESOME in there! I never dreamed we would have a room like that! We completely have our OWN private cabin getaway! It's so amazing in there. We layed awake, in the dark, holding hands and just looking around the room, talking about how cool it was till after 11. The Lord has certainly blessed us! I just can't wait to get the closet shelves bought and put up and lighting and get everything for our closet moved in too! Our house is going to look so clean and UNCLUTTERED when all the stuff we had stashed everywhere actually gets put in it's proper place! haha...
Well, enough for now! I'll post again soon Lord willing!!!

Lots to talk about!

Well, for one thing. Most of you have probably already heard or read about our good news! Ryan and I are expecting baby #2!!! I am due August 26, so we're very excited. Lord willing we'll find out next month what we're having. I'll definetly let all you guys know!
Ty now has 8 teeth and is crawling, pulling up, and walking everywhere (while hanging on of course!) lol
I hope I still have some faithfuls that check my poor little neglected blog! Ryan and I have been going through some financial struggles and the phone was one of the things that just went for a while. But Lord willing we have it back up and running now for good! We'll see! Just keep us in your prayers!
We are FINALLY getting to move into our bedroom tomorrow, Lord willing. It's been over a year since we've been sleeping on our mattress in the living room! I'm so ready to move into our bedroom! It's going to be AWESOME!
Back to the pregnancy thing...this pregnancy has been a TON easier than Ty's! I am nauseated off and on, but it has definetly tapered off and hasn't been NEAR as bad. I feel great so far!
I'm going to try to add a new ticker on the bottom counting down to the new baby's due date!!!
I have a ton more that I could say, but I'll save it for a new post with more new pictures!!!
