TWO teeth!!!

Posted by Picasa Ty now has TWO teeth! I just discovered after what seemed a long, drawn out service (it wasn't...Ty just wallered me to death!) that he had gotten his second tooth in. It's the weirdest thing...I at first though it was his front tooth that came in first, but it wasn't...it was his "eye" tooth as someone called it...the tooth right beside his front tooth. And NOW, he has cut a new little bottom tooth in! So keep poor little Ty in your prayers while he gets all these new teeth. And then after you pray for him, pray for me too since I'm still feeding him and am quaking in my boots! hahaha...

I made a white turtle cake tonight for the conference at our church as well as a cold spaghetti salad. (Morgan gave me the spaghetti salad recipe!)

Um...our fridge is dying on us I do believe...about every 15 to 30 minutes, it buzzes so loud that everyone in the house jumps out of their skin! Sometimes it's just a short ear piercing buzz. Other times it's a long drawn out fog horn sound. That can't be good. Lovely.

I had a lady in a store offer me a coupon (which I gladly accepted!) she always trys to find someone in the store to give her leftover coupons too and her husband suggested giving it to me. She said he told her, "Why don't you give it to that girl in the skirt...She looks nice." Well, thank you very much! =) I'm glad I look nice! *No mean comments now!* My best friend Andrea burst out laughing and said, "They obviously don't really know us!" hmmm...

This blog is in desperate need of some new pics of Ty. It seems like it's been FOREVER since I've gotten my camera out and started snapping! AHHH! MUST put that on the TOP of my to do list! #1: Take pictures of Ty!!! He sits up like such a big boy now..I had some pictures taken of him today and the lady helping to pose him said, "My goodness he acts more like a 9 month old than a 6 month old." Then later after he kept standing up instead of sitting on the edge of the chair like she wanted...she said, "I take that back...you're more like a 1 year old than you are a 6 month old." Well, be that as it may, he's my precious little baby no matter how old he acts! =)

Ryan, Ty, and I are heading out, Lord willing, tomorrow late afternoon for mom and dad's! I can't wait to get our visit started! We'll get to spend the whole weekend in which I'm going to get to squeeze that NEW baby of Jo's!!!

And before I end this FOREVER long post....I wanted to wish everyone and early HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!

Wednesday's Wonderings....

We're ALIVE!!! I know it's been FOREVER since I've posted so I definetly wanted to get online today.

Some funny things that happened:

  • TY GOT HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!!!!!!! It broke through sometime on Sunday!
  • I told Ryan that I gave Ty some cheerios today and he said..."That doesn't sound safe...they're so hard!" So I told him, "Well you know how they mush in your mouth as soon as you put them in..." and he said..................*This is the really funny part!!!!*............. "I've never eaten RAW cheerios before." Ok, what in the world are RAW cheerios. hahahaha
  • Ty and I went for a walk last week when it was SOOO warm outside and Ryan's cousin Derik came along. I pushed Ty in his stroller through the yard, headed for the road, when we reached the driveway I proclaimed, "Whew! Finally we're on the grabbels! It'll make for easier pushing." Then I realized what I'd said, *I meant to say gravels...but for some unknown reason it came out grabbels. So now we have raw cheerios and grabbels.
  • Ryan volunteered me to bake chocolate chip cookies for his Tuesday night class...sadly...they all turned out FLAT! Very...very....FLAT! I honestly have NO idea what happened. They tasted the same, but didn't too pretty!
  • Um...I had some other things I wanted to add and now I can't remember what they were! I'll come back later and add them on if I think of them!

By the way, all those pics in the collage I made of Ty were take by my good back home friend Morgan!!! Thanks Morgan!

Ty in Canada

Thanks to Terry for making this TOO cute little picture! Doesn't it look like he's really sitting there? I just laughed and laughed when I saw it! It wouldn't let me post it before, so I sent it to Sandra through email and she sent it back to me through Hello! and then it let me post it! Pretty crazy huh!!! Posted by Picasa

6 Months Old

Ty turned 6 months old today! I even let him try fruit today since it was his special day! He gobbled them up like they were going out of style! They were an apple/banana mix.

He's been such an awesome joy to have around, we just can't imagine our lives without him!!! God has been SO good to us in sending us such a precious boy! I could eat him up!

I had to add this onto this post. I got this off a fellow blogger's post and I figured it was worth sharing! How bizarre can you get?!

I voted!

Posted by Picasa

Here's Mr. Ty, trying to sit up! lol...isn't it hysterical?!

By the way, Ty rolled over and we officially saw him! YAY! It was too cute! Ryan and I were sitting on the bed with Ty and all of a sudden, he just rolled over! It was so fun to watch him...he laid there looking shocked. =)

Yes, Ryan, Ty, and I went and voted today! I enjoy and heartily practice my right to vote!!! So should you!

New Mom's Tip: In my experience, it doesn't do ANY good to buy one of those diaper genies. I had one. *note the past tense* After a while when we started to get a little older, it stunk his entire room up, so we stuck it out in the garage. lol...it's still there I reckon! I use disposable powder scented diaper sacks by Sassy. They're the trick!!!

All work and no play...

*Sniff!* Ryan has to work tomorrow just like a regular day. Phooey! I'll miss getting to spend my Saturday with him!

Is it me or is this just the SWEETEST picture of Ty?! I think his eyes look TOO cute in this picture!

He's been such a good boy! I just love our blogger baby to pieces! I never knew you could love a baby SO much! God is good!

Speaking of babies: I CAN'T wait to hear the news when Jo has her baby! I'll have to drive right over and see him/her. My official vote is that it's a boy! haha...not that I'm bias to boys or anything! lol!

A Day with Memaw

Ty got to spend the day with Memaw *Ryan's grandma* this past Tuesday! He's making his new goofy face in this picture for her! lol

He and I are getting ready to head to town to run some errands and put some money in the bank! I'm waiting for him to wake up from his nap! He's taking a really good one today, so I hate to wake him up to run into town.

Last night at church, Ryan and I got an offer for a FREE babysitter this weekend, so I think we're FINALLY going to go out on a much needed date this Saturday. *crosses fingers!* Posted by Picasa

PIRATES!

Isn't he the cutest little pirate that you ever did see? I drew his mustache and goatee on with eyeliner! lol! BTW- I finished adding to the post Carrots! =)

Isn't this a neat background? It's the old wall in what will be our new bedroom! Ryan has to pick up the new wood for the walls tomorrow. But while it's still the old wood, I thought it would make a great background for our piraty picture!

New Mom Tip: Even when well meaning people give you really "unwanted" advice like you're too stupid to know it yourself and lack common sense, just nod and smile then chalk it up as a big 'whatever!' and then do whatever you were doing that you feel is best as a parent.
Example: I had an iron plugged in about three feet away from me and a well meaning individual says, as they're handing Ty to me, "Don't get too close to that iron with him...it will burn him." UH....ok. I said, "I'll try to restrain myself." *he's survived with me so far people?! ARG!!! Another person says THIS evening, "Now you need to make sure you bundle him up really good because it's cold outside." Thank you so much! What would I ever do without their input? Posted by Picasa
