Yes, at one point I had two babies. They're gone now. Where in the world did they go? They've obviously gone somewhere and left in their place two toddlers who talk, run around, get into stuff, have attitudes, have opinions, need space, argue with each other, and a million other things. However, there are certain perks to having these two new little children around. They dish out some great 'lovins' as we like to call them around here. They're helpful, loving, curtious, obedient, hilarious and a million other things here too.
Ty and I were laying on the couch just yesterday when he turned and looked at me and said, "I love you...very much Mommy." Yeah...that's a perk.
With every kiss that Macie gives, she follows up with a drawn out, very girley, "Awww!"
Ty, the new toddler Ty that is, is potty trained. *for the most part* He hasn't had a #1 accident in...well, I can't remember when. The #2 factor is giving us a little more of an issue. Some days are awesome and he shows no apparent problem with pottying in the potty chair. Other days he seems to be freaked out by having to go poo in the potty. Ugh. I officially proclaimed last week that I was not cut out for potty training. Then, the very next day, we had a prize winning day with NO accidents and I felt bad for saying it. Oh the guilt.
So, where did my two babies go? I blinked. That must be it. When my teany-tiny little girl starts saying two word phrases, that is an explicit sign that my babies have disappeared. I mean...hello...she's the baby!!! Today she came out with "No way" and "Hey Ty"...uh...she's scaring mommy.
I love the new stages they're in, but I sure am going to miss those sweet baby-isms.

Feeling Flaky??? If so...
Oh yes...it's FINALLY that time, you know, that I've been teasing you all about here and there. Allowing you to feel hints of excitement. The VERY FIRST contest that this bloggie has ever held. Without any further adieu, let me fill you peeps in.
Here's the deal, this artsy lady sews some of the cutest, weirdest, most unique and durable stuffed animals that you can find. :) And yes...I bought one and have another one on the way.
Macie just HAD to have the rainbow striped ribbon horse. Ty fell in love with it as soon as it arrived, so I went back and ordered him a giraffe. We are anxiously awaiting Lester's arrival. Among others...you MUST see "Bogart" and "Shaggy Dog." They're too furry and friendly to resist!
Basically these odd little friends find a way to wiggle right into your heartstrings and set up camp there. You MUST go check them out!
What is required in this contest...
- You must go to her shop and find a flaky friend that you like best and come back and tell me which one it is along with your entry.
- ONE entry per day, an extra entry will be given to those who post a link back to this one and announce the give-a-way on their blog.
The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to her fabulOOsis store. Also...while you're browsing her irresistible plushy creations and just can't wait until the contest is over because you MUST have one now, enter the code 'tales-of-a-stay-at-home-mom' in the sellers notes and wait for a revised invoice before paying to receive 20% off your entire purchase.
Her furry flakey-friends will make an adorable shower gift, birthday present, or just because I thought of you gift. It sure beats running to the store and trying to unsuccessfully pick out a gift from the shelves and shelves of same ole' same ole' items. Her whimsical shop is STOCK full of unique plushies. All of Sarah's animals have a lot of personality and are just adorable!
What is so cool about Sarah, the designer, is she works up all her creations from scratch! No patterns, just doodles from her sketchbook, a sewing machine and loads of talent.
Go HERE to browse through the Flakey Friends and hurry back to tell me which one is your favorite. Contest ends September 15. Let me know with a seperate entry if you have posted a link and announced the give-away on your own blog.

Sneak Peek of 1st Birthday Splendor!
My USB ports are out on our computer so I can't upload any pics. Which means...no birthday pics, no anniversary trip snapshots, no house rennovation pictures. AHHHHHH.
Thankfully, this picture was sent to me via Sandra. I will be posting more about her birthday later, but I thought you guys might like a little taste of what's to come. :)

Sunday Morning Glory
One of my very favorite moments about Sunday mornings is seeing my two kiddies all dressed up and ready to go to church. The moments before they have a chance to slobber, drop food, potty, or the fifty other things that kids can do to their clothes happen.
So, yesterday morning I took a couple extra minutes and grabbed the camera. For the first time since she's blessed us with her little presence, we were able to get a bow to stay on the side instead of on the top like Pebbles from the Flinstones. Thought I would share a couple of those moments...
Macie is playing with corn on the cob (plastic of course).
Ok...I took just about a dozen pictures of them together and never did manage to get a shot of them BOTH looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. So, I decided to scrap the idea of finding one where at least one of them looked "the best" and posted the one that I thought was funny. :)
Macie's got a rash on her bottom, so you can pray for her. I'm thinking teething is probably underway. Poor baby.
Simply Macie in all her Sunday morning sweetness. Thank God for my precious family and babies! He is SO incredibly good to me, even in the hard times.
