Where Did the Babies Go?

Yes, at one point I had two babies. They're gone now. Where in the world did they go? They've obviously gone somewhere and left in their place two toddlers who talk, run around, get into stuff, have attitudes, have opinions, need space, argue with each other, and a million other things. However, there are certain perks to having these two new little children around. They dish out some great 'lovins' as we like to call them around here. They're helpful, loving, curtious, obedient, hilarious and a million other things here too.

Ty and I were laying on the couch just yesterday when he turned and looked at me and said, "I love you...very much Mommy." Yeah...that's a perk.

With every kiss that Macie gives, she follows up with a drawn out, very girley, "Awww!"

Ty, the new toddler Ty that is, is potty trained. *for the most part* He hasn't had a #1 accident in...well, I can't remember when. The #2 factor is giving us a little more of an issue. Some days are awesome and he shows no apparent problem with pottying in the potty chair. Other days he seems to be freaked out by having to go poo in the potty. Ugh. I officially proclaimed last week that I was not cut out for potty training. Then, the very next day, we had a prize winning day with NO accidents and I felt bad for saying it. Oh the guilt.

So, where did my two babies go? I blinked. That must be it. When my teany-tiny little girl starts saying two word phrases, that is an explicit sign that my babies have disappeared. I mean...hello...she's the baby!!! Today she came out with "No way" and "Hey Ty"...uh...she's scaring mommy.

I love the new stages they're in, but I sure am going to miss those sweet baby-isms.

Hey, Jess. Thanks for leaving a comment on our blog. We love to hear from you. Even better, we love an update on YOUR blog!!

However, it always worries me because Macie does things faster than Charlotte. Macie had A LOT of teeth and Charlotte was still gummin' it. Now Macie is talking and Charlotte doesn't even say Mama yet! Oh, well, I know when she does start talking she'll never stop -- so I'll be patient! (This week she did say purple "pup-a" in response to me telling her that her skirt was purple! Even more worrisome -- when I told her we were fixing her hair for her boyfriend one morning she blew a kiss -- what are they doing at that daycare??)

We plan to be at Newby on Sunday, September 28th. Any chance you'll be in the area? It would be great seeing you!

Enjoy your big kids!

Macie and Ty are growing up too fast!! I can't believe how much older Macie looks in that picture. Is she walking yet?

Ty also looks so much older. I can't believe how much bigger they have both gotten.

Come see us soon!!!

Love,
Lauren

Maybe it's time for your next one, huh?? :) As for us, I'm almost sure we are done...and I am going to miss each stage Lindsay passes through.

Lauren, Actually she is walking a bit now. She's been taking lots of steps and standing up randomly in the middle of the room and toddling around. It's SOOOO cute. :)

Sharon, I do get the baby fever from time to time, but I'm also enjoying the break on my body. It's been 3 years straight of either being pregnant or breastfeeding and it feels pretty weird to actually be doing nothing. :) We're not done though. It'll be a little bit before we have another.

They are just too cute! You are blessed for sure!

Mine's growing up too, but I love it! He's putting words together now to form sentences and he's got quite a sense of humor. Lately he's been closing the closet door while I'm in there, then he runs out to the kitchen and laughs. He thinks he's sooo funny. And, he is. lol
