Middle Name Meme

This is me with my nephew Brodi, when he was just a wee little thing. :)

I'm been tagged by Donna for a middle name meme.

Here are the rules: Post the rules on your blog, and then give your answers. List one fact about yourself for each letter in your middle name. Each fact must begin with a letter from your middle name. If you do not have a middle name, use your maiden name(or create a middle name).Once you are tagged, update your blog with your middle name and your answers. At the end of your post, tag one person for each letter of your middle name. Leave them a comment on their blog telling them that they have been tagged, and that they need to come read your blog for details.

This should be interesting.

  • N - Not a morning person, but definitely getting better! :)

  • E - Eating chocolate chip cookie dough is the BEST!

  • L - Lilac bushes are the most delicious smell in summer.

  • E - Eastern KY girl, since everyone here in Western KY gives me a hard time about coming from Eastern KY.

_____

  • A - Active member in one of the Lord's true churchs.

  • R - Reading is one of my favorite pastimes. I love to read to the kids too!

  • I - Interpreter. I'm a nationally certified Sign Language Interpreter and LOVE it.

  • Z - Zoo, since I've been DYING to take Ty to the zoo for a long time now!!!

  • O - Outdoors is my favorite place to be.

  • N - NEVER...I try to never eat chicken nuggets without honey!

  • A - Avid blogger. I love having my blog has a "my-time" past-time.

And for those of you probably wondering...YES, I have two middle names. Nele` (pronounced Nilay) and Arizona (after my Great-Grandmother Arizona.)

The meme says that I'm supposed to tag a person for every letter of my name, but that's a little much to ask in my particular situation so, I'll just tag one Amanda.

For Stephanie

Check out this sweet little Valentine! ;)

Ty looks SO big in these pictures. This mommy is not sure if she likes her little boy growing up so fast. Don't his legs look a mile long?

I think we're finally over all the sickies here at our house. I have tons of things to tell you all and can't think of one of the them right now. I'll have to add more later. Right now is my break so I happened to be near a computer and was able post a little, but I can't think of the first thing to tell. haha....

Trying to win:

I'm trying to win a contest over at the 5Minutes For Mom website. You're required to put a link back to their website. It's about a baby mattress from New Zealand that is supposed to prevent SIDS. I've heard about them before, but it caught my eye when I saw the word "giveaway" seeing as they're pretty expensive.
You can purchase one from Healthy Child.
By the way...I'm not sure if you all noticed or not, but there is a post below the one of Macie with pictures of Ty. I try to keep you all updated about the both of them. Dad gets the credit for taking all the pictures in both posts. :)

Also trying to win the Oreck vacuum at 5 Minutes For Mom.

Hi! I'm Macie Jade.

AHHH! Have I mentioned that I think that she's just precious?! This is my new favorite picture of her. It's just SO Macie. She's been such a good, sweet-natured baby! God is so good to us.

She was perfectly happy in Grandma's arms, smiling at her Papa. My baby girl is getting so big.

Our Lives These Days...

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Mom and dad came in for a visit, so we have some fun pictures from their time here.

This is Ty with his FAVORITE toys...his farm animals. I figured Morgan would like his t-shirt which says "Kiss me, I'm adorable." :)

That's me in the background with a dress I found on sale for Macie. PLUS I had a gift card from Ryan's classmates to spend, so that's what I bought. :)

He just had to get Papa to take a picture of his 'horsey.' I love his eyes in this picture. How we ended up with a blue-eyed child is still amazing to me.
He seems to be over the yucky virus he had, but now Ryan has it and I feel pretty achey too! We're both staying home from work tomorrow so just pray for us.

Just me...in all my splendor. haha...Dad took this while I was sitting on the floor in our living room watching my two monkeys consume all of their grandparents attention. Well, almost all of it, dad paused to take this picture. haha

Continue to pray for me about losing my weight. I've done really well so far. I keep the kids and my weight ticker's on the bottom of my blog. I've lost 17 lbs since I started the end of September. I'm going for 17 more, so I'm half way there! WOOHOO!

Well, they're both looking anyway...

They ARE at least both looking. I still haven't gotten my both looking/smiling picture, but we'll see. I'm still trying.

Both kiddies are doing SO MUCH better! *praises to the Lord for that!!!*

I have a tale from Friday. En-route from one school to the next (as I was working) our babysitter tried to call me. When I reached the alternative school where I work I was approached with the message that a young girl had tried to call me but didn't leave a name or number.
I immediately thought of the babysitter. I called and thus the drama began...

I'll give you the abbreviated version: Macie was laying on the floor, the babysitters 3 year old neice was sitting beside her. Tori, the babysitter, left the room to get Macie's bottle. At some point from the time she left to get the bottle, her neice started playing with Macie and to make a long story short, she scratched Macie's eye.

Tori called me at work and told me about it. Of course accidents happen so I tried not to be upset while I listened. However, I did tell Ryan later that a better choice of words may be in order to let a poor parent down easy. Here's the end of a few minute description of what happened, "I think she pryed Macie's eye open and scratched her eyeball with her fingernail." Uh...at that point my heart dropped.

After the initial shock wore off, I realized it wasn't as bad as it sounded. I went home and got her and took her in to the doctor to have it checked to be on the safe side. It ended up being a superficial scratch. Thank the Lord. They gave us eye drops for her for three days to prevent infections and all was well.

One thing you learn as a parent. Accidents happen...you just hope that when your child causes the accident that the other parent will be as understanding as you need to be in the current situation. *smile*

I was tagged by Charlotte's Mommy to tell 10 things about my kiddos, so here goes:

  1. Ty has a virus and is puking every so often... fun fun.
Macie is growing like a weed everyday.
  2. Macie started saying "da-da" on Friday in the doctors office right after her "eye trauma." Ty thinks it's just hilarious to say the word "Poo-poo"
  3. Ty picked out his new Thomas the Train "choo-choo" slippers as he calls them all by himself at Walmart. Macie is starting to try to pull up into a sitting position lately, what a big girl!
  4. Ty's favorite Veggie-Tales is 'The Wizard of Ha's' because of the little pig they call 'Tu-tu.' Macie gets more attention when we go out in public than any child I have ever seen in all my life.
  5. Buying Ty the ridiculously expensive farm toys (horses, cows, pigs, sheep) was one of the best decisions we ever made. Macie sucks on her big toe like it's a third thumb.
  6. Ty's favorite drink is sweet tea. Macie's favorite toy is her feet.
  7. Ty can sing "Jesus Loves Me" and actually carry the tune. *pretty good for a 1.5 year old. Macie can raise those little eyebrows and give her wide open-mouth grin and win anybodys heart...especially mine.
  8. Both of my kids are AWESOME sleepers. They go to bed around 9 or before and will sleep anywhere from 8 to 10:30 if you let them.
  9. Ty likes to play rough...the rougher the better. Macie does NOT.
  10. Ty and Macie both love to get lovin's and we sure love passing them out!

Now...I tag Amber and Erica.

Pray for Ty...he has some sort of puking virus. ICK!

Until later...that's all our tales for now.
