Wide-Eyed in the AM...

So, what do you do when it's the middle of the night and you're WIDE-AWAKE??? Blog of course.

As promised, here I am trying to do better about keeping all you peeps updated on what we DO around here. If you haven't heard, I'm officially a minivan mom now. *gasp* I would have NEVER believed it if you had told me I would own one in a million years. However, as a past-time if Ryan and I are on a date and don't have anything to do after dinner or we just go for a drive, we'll drive through local car lots to ooh and ahh or yuck about the new and old vehicles. One particular drive through resulted in me saying, "Hey! Look at that! It really doesn't look like a mini-van in the front. I might actually be able to see myself driving that." *another gasp* Ryan gaped at me for a while. lol He EVEN used the word 'flabbergasted' when describing to a friend what he felt when I told him I wanted to go back and test drive it.
Long story short, it's now ours. If you're interested in a car, we have one up for sale now. :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE the minivan. It's a Chrysler Town and Country '08 in silver. Can we all say "TONS OF ROOM!" That was the thought behind purchasing a different vehicle anyway. We are running out of room. If we go on a trip...it's the suitcase or the stroller. You can't have both. Sometimes, we NEED both. Plus, if any more children happen to appear in the next few years we will actually have a place to put them now.

On the way to a local chinese restaurant. This is me trying to make up for all the pictures that Ryan and I never have made together anymore since we have children who consume all our digital memory now.

I had handy-dandy brother-in-law snap this for us. I can't stand how my hair looks in this one, but it's the most recent of the two of us in FOREVER!!!

I LoVe this picture of Macie. She's growing up so fast and saying SO much now. She combines all these words and says things I never even knew she could say. She sang, "Jesus loves me this I know. " Not the whole song....just the words that I typed. She's never said over a two word sentence before. I was left sitting with my mouth hanging open. I was "flabbergasted!" AND she sang the correct toon. I was pretty impressed even if she is my kiddie, that's pretty good for her age. Then, later she sang, "Bible tells me soooooooooo." I have witnesses for both outbursts of song. It was pretty cool!

Ty climbed up in this chair before we left for church one Sunday morning and asked me to take his picture. He pulled the chair over to that spot. I think he was "posing" for a professional studio type picture. It was funny. He was actually sitting a bit differently and had himself posed with a closed mouth smile on his face, I snapped this one after he relaxed and gave me his 'real' smile. :) The cowboy boots are a MUST...EVERY Sunday.

The van sounds neat. I used to want a mini-van but we never got one. Britt goes and tells her Dad last year he's going to be a Gran-Dad and he goes out three weeks later and buys a 93 Corvette 40th anniversary edition. I think a mini-van would be more suitable for our age and flexability. It's a killer getting out of that thing.
I can't believe we're grandparents now. Colton is such a sweetie.
Your kiddos have grown up so fast. So cute.
Take care.

The much mocked mini-van just becomes unavoidable once you hit three kids. We looked at our little car, our two little children and my growing belly and immediately sold our car. :)

Love the updates and pictures!
