The Much Awaited Pictures...

Thanks so much for all the congratulations! We are home and doing VERY well! Thanks for all the many prayers that went up for a safe delivery. Everything went great!
Our little Macie Jade is just something else!

Mom and I were actually able to get a couple of cute smiley pictures of her. Aren't they just sweet?!

This is one of my favorites because you can see her sweet little eyes. Can you believe all that long dark hair. I think we now officially have a Ryan and Jessica Jr. haha
I'll post more later about all the details, but for now, I need to burp Macie and get Ty ready for his nap. Love and thanks to all!!!! We're VERY happy to be home!

Early Morning Appointment...

Send up prayers for me tomorrow morning if you think of it. I'll be at my doctors appointment at 8:30 am. I've been having mild to strong contractions for the past two days now so we'll see how everything is going. I may not make it to the appointment, but you never know. I thought I'd just jump on here and post really quick so you all could be praying for us just in case Macie decides to come!

What Ty does away from home...

Just as I predicted yesterday....NO change when I went to the Doctor. Which is fine considering I haven't even arrived to my due date yet.
-
THANKS...to all who prayed for Ryan during his test. The test consisted of three parts with a score of 6 being the highest in each part. Ryan got one 6 and two 5's, so he did great! The company called this morning to set up an interview time. HURRAY! His interview is next Thursday, August 30 at 1:00 CST.
-
Okay, so that picture of Ty in the orange hat...and the other two as well...were taken by Ty's great-Aunt Sandra. Thought I'd give you guys a glimpse of some of the goofy things he does when he's away from home. haha...I always love seeing pictures from his little escapades!

Isn't he just a goober? Sandra said he was cheesing and really hamming it up for all the waitresses at Cracker Barrel. I love that goofy little grin! Such a silly boy!!!

This is best dance move. Anytime he hears music he shakes his arms around like that! haha...It's pretty funny. I think his Papaw Danny taught him that.
-
To finish up the 'convo' about the doctor, he said that the only hold up is that little Macie's head hasn't completely dropped yet, but as soon as it does I'll probably go to an instant 6 to 7 cm. So, I was told that as SOON as I feel like I'm having the first real contraction, I'm to head straight to the hospital! haha They're expecting a pretty fast labor and delivery. That sounds like sweet music to my ears!!!

More later...

Ty in Boots...

These are the two pictures that I was talking about in my last post about editing in the Paint Program. I finally got them to upload. Aren't they cute?

I'm now hopping off from here to head to my Doctor's appointment. I doubt there's any real change, but I'll make sure and keep you all updated on what's going on.
-
Ryan is taking a test today as part of an interview process for a job opening to a really awesome place. If you think of him, please pray that he does well and that the Lord will continue to open this door of opportunity. It would be such a blessing for our family. He takes it at 2:30 CST.

Till later!!!

Of Doctor's Appointments & Picture Editing

Well first things first...

-

My Doctors appt. went just fine yesterday. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post about it, it was a LONG day. (in a good way) I am dilated in between 4 and 5 cm now. He offered to let me come in today to be induced, but I turned that offer down and said I'd wait till she came on her own. The nurse just swears up and down that TODAY is the day. She even told the Dr. that there would be no need to induce me (let me clarify...that at yesterday's appt. they were saying "tomorrow. But, since "tomorrow" is now "today" I hope no one gets confused. haha) considering that I was going to come in on my own and have her. SOOOO...I guess we'll see.

-

The next Dr's appt. is set up for next Tuesday, but again, the nurse just shook her head and said, "Well, that will just be four days late, because tomorrow is her day." (which like I said earlier...would be "today") lol

-

My Dr. warned me that if I had any plans of getting an epidural that as soon as I felt the first contraction that I better get to the hospital, because he's predicting a very fast labor! WOOHOO for me! He said I didn't need to putt around the house when the time came anyway since things were already moving so fast, so I guess when I feel the need to go, I better go.

-

Our church has had revival services all week now, and after tonights service, we're supposed to have ice-cream. I told Ryan that if I made it all this week and then miss out on the ice-cream that I'm just going to be furious! haha Ashley, a good friend from church, promised to bring me some if I was in the hospital.

-

Well, it seems as if I'm having a little trouble uploading these two pictures. I'll go ahead and blog about them anyway, and if they load, they load...and if they don't...well...I'll just try again later.

-

Okay, the FIRST one should have the entire background. I thought the picture was just too cute, but the background is just way too busy and takes away from the shot. So, I got the crazy idea that I would just edit the picture and cute out all the background. And, let me mention, that by NOT having a fancy picture editing program, I resort to good old "Paint" program that every computer has. What a pain in the neck that turned out to be. Completely time consuming, but I love how it turned out! I may do some other things with it later, but for now, this is it! haha

Our Day Out

This past weekend, Ryan took Friday off and Ty went to his Aunt Sandra's so we could have the day together for my birthday. My birthday was Sunday, but it was a little hard to go and do something then, so we waited till Friday.
_
First, we drove out to this place called Gravity Hill. Actually, it should be called something more like "Gravity Slope or Incline." haha You stop your car at the bottom of the slope and put it into nuetral, and your car rolls UP the hill and gains speed while doing it too! It was pretty neat!
_
Then, we went to the Nature Station and got to walk around and see animals like coyotes, wolves, deer, eagles, hawks, well, just a little bit of everything. It was really neat. They had a possum show while we were there. The man said that possums have pouchs just like Kangaroos and that someone had stopped by at a certain road kill to check in the pouch and see if anything was in it. Low and behold she had a baby in her pouch and the "good samaritan" saved it and it ended up being donated to the Nature Station where we got to watch her eat her lunch.
....
Okay...my question is... WHO in the WORLD was the person who stopped to check out some nasty run-over possum's pouch to see if anything was left. So now the big joke between me and Ryan is that we for sure will stop and check next time when we see a possum as a road-kill.
_
After the Nature Station, Ryan and I drove out to the Elk & Bison Prairie where we saw some Elk VERY close up to the vehicle and got some good snap shots. I added a new picture album on the side below Ty's of those pictures. I'll be adding more of our trip to that album.
_
The last thing we did around Land Between the Lakes is drive out to this neat place called The Home Place. It's a working farm that was built back in the 1800's. That's where the picture of Ryan and I came from. I'll add pictures of that to the album too.
_
Once we finally finished up there, we hurried back and ate an AWESOME birthday supper that Ashley had cooked for him at her and Matt's house. (friends of ours from church) We spend the rest of the evening hanging out with them and having a great time.
_
Oh yes...the next day, I ended up getting home-made ice-cream from Ryan's Papaw Gid! YUM!!!! So I had a great birthday!!!
_
I don't go back to the Dr. till Thursday, so I'll let you know an update then on the baby situation. =) Till then...
