We're Alive!!!

Hello, hello! So sorry it's been so long...(we're still alive Terry) I know it's been a while since I've blogged anything. I am actually just about done in to be honest. That sweet baby Ty has been keeping me up at night and I feel like a zombie. haha. Actually, I'm visiting my mom and dad this week and attending a workshop for sign language interpreting. Poor Ryan is home all alone. Ty and I will be traveling home this coming saturday if we can stand being away that long...

Ty got to stay with "Aunt Jo" today...sure hope he was a good little boy!:) I've missed him something awful during the day while I've been gone to the workshop.

I promise (Lord willing) to get on here again soon and write more about what's going on, but for now I'm off to catch some Zzzz's. Mom has offered to keep Ty in their room overnight and I'm taking her up on it and catching some much needed sleep!

Midnight Musings...

Well, alas, it's again midnight and here I sit at my computer trying to catch a few "alone time" minutes to myself. Just wanted to let everyone know we had a couple NEW commenters! Thanks mom (my mom, Sue) and Leilani for stopping by and leaving their thoughts on our blog! We always enjoy hearing from the old faithfuls and new people too!

Update on Ty...he was still fussy today and ran a low grade temperature all day long. Poor little guy. What's a little man like him supposed to do in a mean old world like this. He did like his grape flavored baby Tylenol every four hours though. AND...he LOVES bath time, so we let him sit and play in his bath extra long today which allowed his temp. to come down some too. He seems to be improving...we would appreciate your prayers if you think of him. I am SO proud of him, Ty is getting to be a little "bed-time pro"!!! I have been working with him on when he goes in his bed, that it's sleep time and not play time or get back out of bed time...the first few times he would fuss around and I would stand there and pat his belly and shush or sing to him. Now it's to where when I put him in, he whines around a few moments then curls over and prepares for sweet dreams! I'm not a believer in the let them cry it out thing...I think it teachs them to be cryers...I want him to have a peaceful nights sleep and I want one too...so far just standing with him for a few minutes has worked great to where now I can lay him down...say goodnight and I love him and leave the room and he'll usually fall asleep...if he fusses I come back in, re-plug the paci..haha and shush him softly so he knows I'm there and feels secure. :)

I'm off to dreamland myself and hope that he sleeps in tomorrow! haha...fat chance of that! Maybe he'll sleep at least till 5...if I'm fortunate 5:30!!! Night!

Two months old!

My poor baby Ty...it's rough being two months old! Just ask poor little Ty who had his two months check up today. He was given THREE awful shots. Bless his heart. It broke my heart to let them hurt my baby. I know they help, but it sure is hard to watch. He looked shocked at first, then just cried. The poor nurse hurried so I could pick him up and cuddle him. He's been fussy all evening long and I've pretty much just sat around and held him and tried to comfort him cuz he had such a rough morning and I know he's still uncomfortable. He is now tucked away snug as a bug in his bed and seems to be sleeping soundly.

Here's the new stats:

Weight- 14.2 lbs
Height- 24 1/4 inches

Ty's Doctor says that he's a wonderful healthy boy and in the 90th percentile of everything. lol! Everybody goes on about what a BIG two month old he is, but he's our precious tiny baby boy and always will be! Amazingly enough he's not chunky...he's so long he's just all stretched out! What else can you be with a 6' 4" daddy! He's going to be a tall boy. Scares me to think about how soon it will be when he'll be looking down at me and I'll have to look up at him! YIPES! I like my boys tall though and I'm SO thankful God made him JUST the way that he is!

If no one has noticed, Ryan no longer has hair! YIPES! He took a wild notion and shaved it all off about a week ago. That's all I needed...two bald little babies! haha... just kidding. I miss his hair, but Ryan just absolutely loves it shaved. Hmm, we'll see when cold weather hits!

I've tried to send quite a few pictures and not all of them are showing up quite yet. Hope they didn't get lost out in the surf!

Ty and I had some visitor friends over today! He had his first little playmate. She was a cutie and they laid on the carpet and looked around. It was pretty funny. She's six months old so she's a lot more active than he is. He would look over at her and grin...(little flirt) I think she was stealing some of Terry's winks away! ;)

Morgan, I don't know WHAT we're going to do with Terry away. Blogging just isn't the same without all her interesting comments.

Ryan and I have prayed and it seems that the Lord is leading in the way of my being able to be a full-time stay-at-home mom! I'm very excited about it, but it will be a definate adjustment financially! My newest adventure to try to make a few dimes on the side is a Mary Kay business. Anyone interested in a free facial??? =) I added my Mary Kay website to the links list. It's a pre-made site where you can browse and shop online. I enjoyed doing the virtual makeovers. They're pretty funny.

Well, it's late and I'll end for now! Good night and sleep tight with just a few more tales from a stay-at-home mom.
